Hair dryer - Sketches, 3D Prototyping (Inventor)​

My purpose in this project was to maintain the cost of a normal hairdryer but make an ergonomic and distinguish design.

Nowadays, it is evident that we can increase the value of any product with a good design, so I challenged myself on finding a way to make the design unique ergonomic, and aesthetic.

Sketch 

 

I sketched a hairdryer with two transparent plastic parts where we can see its inside elements.

The handle is ergonomic and inclined 30 º to give a hand comfortable access.

It also included a removable part that controls the airflow.

CAD Prototyping

 

I chose the first sketch, and I started editing a freeform for the body and the handle.

I used standards measures while letting the space of fingers and making the handle ergonomic, furthermore I gave it a 30º inclination

 

 

 

Materials

 

I chose a white material because it allows stand out the details, I put the part transparent as sketched, and finally, I decided different metallic finish for the inside part that we can see to fit with the hairdryer aesthetic.
